Jeff Barr, Vice President and Chief Evangelist for Amazon Web Services (AWS), a legendary figure in the entire Amazon organization, will share his perspectives on how Amazon fosters a culture of innovation among its employees and exercises customer obsession. He will touch on his experiences working with fellow Amazonians in Japan and his impression of the country and its people.

Jeff Barr joined Amazon in 2002, became the company’s first web services evangelist in 2003, and founded the AWS News Blog in 2004. In his role as Chief Evangelist, Jeff strives to explain the benefits of cloud computing and web services to anyone who will listen. He has written over 3000 posts for the AWS Blog and another 1100 for his personal blog, records weekly AWS update videos, and maintains an active social media presence.

Kay Packard is a Senior Manager in BDO’s Valuations and Business Analytics group and is based in Seattle. She specializes in business valuations for financial reporting and tax reporting purposes as well as corporate planning and transaction purposes.
