We are co-sponsoring the retirement party of THREE UW Professors of Asian American Studies – Tetsuden Kashima, Gail Nomura and Stephen Sumida. Celebrate the departure of the heart of the Japanese American program, who has supported events like the Long Journey Home ceremony that finally awarded diplomas to UW Nikkei students removed from campus during the war. The celebration will feature light refreshments and entertainment, with an open mic session for attendees to say their farewells. Learn more here!
