The Japan America Society of the State of Washington stands in solidarity with and supports all people and groups who are targets of violence and hate crimes. Our commitment is rooted in our mission to deepen understanding and friendship between the people of Japan and Washington state. In an effort to break down walls of misunderstanding and ignorance, we strive to educate our greater community about respecting diversity as we introduce Asian culture to school children. We help overcome bigotry, hatred, and violence through education, social events, partnering with other organizations, engaging in advocacy, reporting surrounding bias. Join with us as we provide a safe, understanding and supportive environment for our AAPI, minority, LGBTQ and all community members.
“Our mission of friendship is to #StopAsianHate.”
