On Friday, August 15, Isamu Ozeki, CEO of Green TOKYO and pictured to the left, visited the JASSW office, marking the start of a new business relationship between Green TOKYO and JASSW.
Green TOKYO specializes in providing eco-friendly food packaging. Their goal is to maintain a high level of quality and elegance in their products, while at the same time making them all compostable. Providing completely compostable products is in line with Seattle’s recent regulations on food packaging, as well as business practices that consider the future of the globe’s environment.
An organization with an almost 80-year history, Green TOKYO began as Anzen Pax Co. in Tokyo, a yokan-shop-turned-packaging-business that recognised the intrinsic relationship between food and its packaging. Now an international corporation, Green TOKYO works to present that relationship in the healthiest way possible.
JASSW is delighted to have Green TOKYO as a corporate member. As you can see in the above picture, Green TOKYO also manufactures plastic food replicas, which JASSW plans to use in its Japan in the Schools classroom visits.
