April 18, 2019 was our Annual Meeting at the Wing Luke Museum.
Attendees were able to enjoy delicious refreshments provided by InnovAsian during the networking reception. Members and guests were able to chat while tasting superb whiskies from Beam Suntory and Bainbridge Organic Distillers.
Consul General Yamada provided welcoming remarks and Chair Karin Zaugg Black presented both the accomplishments of last year and what we look forward to in the next. After we elected our new board members, we were excited to feature a presentation from Dr. Caroline Hartse about the Yama Project! Afterwards, Alyssa Stielstra (Beam Suntory) and Keith Barnes (Bainbridge Organic Distillers) helped educate the audience about whiskey in Washington and Japan during a panel discussion. The evening was wrapped up by board member Shoko Farmer winning a business class ticket on ANA!
We hope everyone enjoyed the evening and we look forward to seeing you all at our future events!
A massive thank you to our sponsors:
