New Voices from Japan

February 28, 2015, Seattle – A Japan-America Society VIP event featuring New Voices from Japan drew praises for the opportunity to hear views from three young professionals from Japan on relevant topics. Jun Makita spoke on “The Rise of e-Business in Japan’s Hanging Economy and the Role of the Japan Association of New Economy.” Dr. Aki Mori spoke on “Competition or a Strategic choice? The international politics of the China backed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Japanese position.” Associate Professor Shinsuke Tomotsugu talked about “From Hiroshima to Fukushima: Evolution of Japan’s nuclear posture.” All three answered questions from the attendees afterward as a panel moderated by Dr. Toshihiro Nakayama.

The group left Seattle the following day to travel to Washington, D.C. to present to several prominent think tanks.

Presentations are posted below and the audio of the session will be available soon.
