The Japan-America Society of the State of the Washington is currently looking for an intern to help us with clerical work in our friendly office. Our internship program offers great experiences and connections in the field of international relations. Please send your resume.
Possible internship activities include:

- Respond to various inquiries and provide information about upcoming programs and activities related to Japan and U.S.-Japan relations

Help maintain registration database for each program

Enter registrant’s information using database

- Receive visitors and incoming phone calls

- File documents
-
- Handle other administrative duties as assigned and needed
NOTE:
Interns will assist with 3 large events in March/April (Annual Meeting), July (Golf Tournament), and November (Holiday Celebration Dinner & Auction) during the year.
Internship Requirements:

A 3-month(quarter) commitment of 12-15 hours/wk during office hours

Good verbal and written communication skills in English

- Telephone and computer skills

- Excellent organization skills
- Knowledge of Japanese language is a plus
