The Japan-America Society of the State of the Washington is currently looking for an intern to help us with clerical work in our friendly office. Our internship program offers great experiences and connections in the field of international relations. Please send your resume.
Possible internship activities include:
- Respond to various inquiries and provide information about upcoming programs and activities related to Japan and U.S.-Japan relations
- Help maintain registration database for each program
- Enter registrant’s information using database
- Receive visitors and incoming phone calls
- File documents
- Handle other administrative duties as assigned and needed
NOTE:
Interns will assist with 3 large events in March/April (Annual Meeting), July (Golf Tournament), and November (Holiday Celebration Dinner & Auction) during the year.
Internship Requirements:
- A 3-month(quarter) commitment of 12-15 hours/wk during office hours
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Telephone and computer skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Knowledge of Japanese language is a plus

日米協会では長期、短期インターンシップ(無給)を受け付けております。 仕事内容は主にデータエントリー(Microsoft Access)、イベント事務(フライヤーやニュースレターの作成や会場での受付業務)、Japan in the Schools Programの学校訪問ヘルプ等、そして英語能力に応じた内容で一般事務のアシスタントも経験してもらえます。
基本的にマイクロソフトオフィス(Word, Excel & Publisher etc.)が使える、一回3時間以上のインターンというのが条件となります。
