Thank you so much for joining our “The Future of Clean Energy” event held on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024!

This program was supported by a grant from the National Association of Japan-America Societies, Inc., with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC. and was an incredible evening filled with remarkable, insightful discussions and valuable connections!

Special guest speakers, including Conrad Lee (Council Member & former Mayor of the City of Bellevue), Governor Jay Inslee (Governor of State of Washington), and U.S. Ambassador Michael Michalak (Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director, US-ASEAN Business Council, Inc.), for their engaging contributions that enriched the event and fostered a deeper understanding of the cultural and technological intersections between Japan and Washington State.

We would like to give our sincere gratitude to the keynote speaker, Nobuo Tanaka from Tanaka Global Inc. for giving the audience a wide variety of invaluable insights, including points about sustainability, geopolitics, environmental challenges, and many more. Your knowledge greatly illuminated the way toward a future focused on clean energy.

Moreover, a special thanks to our amazing speakers: Jessie Barton (Director of Communications, Helion) Ryan Umstattd (VP of Product & Partnerships, Zap Energy) and Mel Clark (President & CEO, CleanTech Alliance), for their captivating contributions that enhanced the event and nurtured a more profound comprehension of clean energy.

Finally, this event would not have been successful without our remarkable MC Kenji Ushimaru (CEO of Infra Innovations and the NW Director for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)) and those who contributed to the event.

Everyone enjoyed catered appetizers from Nola’s Events, and an especially big thank you to Shirafuji Sake Brewery Company for their generous donation of delicious Japanese sake!

Many thanks for joining us Tuesday evening, and we hope to see you all again in our future events!

Warm Regards,

JASSW
